In the next instalment of my ‘Support Irish’ series, I am bringing you the very best of Irish Skincare. Last week on social media, I asked you to name your favourite Irish Skincare brands. Thank you to everyone that took part in the poll. I have combined your votes with my own research, in order to bring you the best of what Ireland has to offer.
It is more important now than ever that we make it our duty to support Irish. It is estimated that over €4 billion was spent by Irish consumers on International online stores last year. My mission with this series is to showcase the best Irish produce while educating consumers and making it simple and easy for you to support local businesses.
This article was possibly one of the easiest so far in terms of research because I have been a big fan of many of these brands for a number of years. I really do believe that we have world class produce here in Ireland. So there is no excuse for us not to Support Irish when it comes to superb skincare products. Here are the top 10:
Gardiner Family Apothecary was founded by Joseph Gardiner in 1934 and is home to two fantastic Irish skincare brands ‘Elave’ and ‘Ovelle’. Today the company is run by Joseph’s granddaughter Joanna, who has brought incredible innovation to this constantly evolving brand. My favourite product is the Elave Intense Moisture Surge. As mentioned I had an abundance of great products to choose from when researching this post so we should be very proud of the fantastic Irish skincare produce that we have on our doorstep. And this was just a taster. Are there other great brands that I have left out? Have you a great experience with one of these brands that you can share? We are all in this together. I would love to hear from you so that we can all ‘Support Irish’ together.
