With the news that lockdown is set to continue for the foreseeable future, it is fair to say that we all need a little lift. So if we have to stay at home, why not do it in style and bring some new life to those zoom calls! Today I have travelled the country virtually to bring you 20 great Irish online boutiques where you can buy beautiful casual clothing.
It is more important now than ever that we make it our duty to support local businesses. It is estimated that over €4 billion was spent by Irish consumers on International online stores last year. My mission with this ‘Support Irish’ series is to showcase the best that Irish retail has to offer while educating consumers and making it simple and easy for you to support local businesses.
I was inundated with great options to choose from while researching this post and I could easily have doubled the number of stores shown below. So there really is no reason for us not to ‘Look Stylish and Support Irish!’. Here are my top 20 picks, catering for a range of different styles and price points. I have tried to bring you a decent location coverage but all businesses mentioned ship nationwide.
Founded in Galway in 2009, Born Clothing has become a great Irish success story with 17 stores nationwide.
Cornucopia was founded in Ennis, Co. Clare in 1989. The company is led by the lovely Sinead and is a must stop shop for all Ennis visitors.
Divine Boutique was founded in 2005. The business is led by Mary and her super team in Maynooth, Co. Kildare.
Erre Esse has locations in both Carlow Town and Portlaoise and is established since 2004. The store offers a unique quirky range of chic contemporary fashions.
GET THAT TREND
Get That Trend is an online boutique based in Donegal offering beautiful affordable fashion to Irish fashionistas.
iClothing has grown rapidly to become a big player on the Irish fashion scene. The online ‘affordable fashion’ store is based in Dublin and adds new lines every week.
LOVE IT FASHIONS
Love It Fashions is a Galway brand with three stores in Loughrea, Tuam and Oranmore. They offer a great range of vibrant, affordable fashions.
Macbees is a Killarney based boutique offering contemporary luxury fashions. They also stock a range of established and up and coming Irish designers.
McElhinneys is a Donegal institution! The Ballybofey based family business dates back to the 1960s and offers a huge range of fashion brands and styles.
Mimi Boutique (trading as Frockmania.com) is based in Castlebar. The business launched in 2001 and has grown from strength to strength over the last 20 years.
Pamela Scotts needs no introduction. The Dublin headquartered business has numerous stores around Ireland and caters for a large range of tastes and styles.
Phoenix Boutique is definitely the newest business featured! The Louth based online boutique was founded in late 2020 by the fabulous Irene. Her signature ‘Phoenix’ collection is already gaining huge popularity amongst a host of well known Irish faces.
Red Lane Boutique is based in Tramore, Co. Waterford. With over 15 years in business, the team led by owner Catherine, offer a very nice range of clothing and accessories.
Safura is based in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. Their online store offers something for everyone, with a good mix of brands, styles and price points.
Select Boutique is based in Goatstown, Co. Dublin and is run by mother and daughter team Carmel and Keelin. Their online store offers a lovely range of clothing and most importantly some super comfy loungewear!
Sephoria is based in Roscommon town and attracts visitors throughout the west of Ireland. Led by the lovely Kate, the boutique offers a good variety of brands, styles and price points.
Serendipity is a well known Kilkenny based boutique. With something for every price point and every occasion, it is no wonder that the store is such a big hit by both locals and visitors.
Therapy Boutique is based in Midleton, Co. Cork. With over 30 years experience, the store stocks a wide range of labels and is a ‘one stop shop’ for fashionistas.
Virgo Boutique is ‘Ireland’s Biggest Online Boutique’. The business is based in Newcastle West, Co. Limerick but is known by fashionistas nationwide. The business is run by superwoman Mairead and offers an extensive range of beautiful clothing and accessories.
Willow is a fabulous boutique founded by Jean in Co. Clare. Jean travelled the world to curate a collection of luxurious and offbeat labels. The online store offers a range of brands, styles and price points for every fashion lover.
As mentioned I really had an abundance of great businesses to choose from when researching this post so we should be very proud of the fantastic selection of great fashions that we have on our doorstep.
